Kozani Resources is an agro-based company with diversified farming production including agro-processing for local and export markets.
The company began farm operations with protea flowers in 2004 and has expanded over the years to small livestock (boer goats and dorper sheep) in 2007 and fruit jam in 2012.
Our farm products are inspired by the scenic mountainous eastern highlands of Zimbabwe and the associated tranquil natural environment
Our growth and development is inseparable from the communities around us. Over the years we have built strong relationships with local farmers and a variety of service providers whose assistance we acknowledge.
We are located near a rocky slope at Silver Rocks Farm, known by locals as ‘Taturikayi’ - ‘where the land opens up’.
OUR FARMING AREA
All our products are grown, processed and packaged at Silver Rocks Farm, which is situated on Chamakowa Road a few kilometres from Bonda Mission in Juliasdale Nyanga.
The local area is known for producing a variety of fruit, including apples, peaches, apricots, and plums. Visitors to the area are treated to freshly-picked roadside sales and locally produced family brands of fruit and vegetable preserves.
The natural flora is home to protea flowers which are indigenous to Nyanga. While some protea are grown for the export market, some smallholder farmers supply local florists and tourists with a variety of protea stems and bunches.
The cool weather, rolling valleys and slopes are optimal for rearing sheep and goats.
